This little trick always works and saves a lot of money. My roommate Chris wants to give his mother and his girlfriend flowers. Roses. Only problem is...like me, he's on a seriously tight budget and really can't afford to do it.
As he looked through website after website with what seemed like a constipated look on his face...I let him in on my little secret. I called up the floral shop down the street from where we live and asked for the manager. After a few minutes I got her on the line and asked her if they still sold defective roses. The roses they call defective aren't defective at all. These are roses that the shops don't consider to be showcase quality or picture perfect. Honestly, you can't tell the difference at all. There might be one petal out of the bunch that looks a bit different. Big deal. You pluck it off and be on your merry way lol.
The manager told me that if we came in after 3pm tomorrow we can have 5-6 dozen roses for free. When I asked her how much she'd charge us to have them wrapped up she said she'd do that for free too. They also only charge about a dollar or two for a load of baby's breath flowers to go with the roses. The only thing he really has to spend on is some nice vases to put them in...and that wont cost him much money at all. If he's smart about it, he can pull this off for around ten dollars.
I've done this before. They always look like you spent a lot of money on them and the person getting them doesn't know the difference and feels just as spoiled. In exchange for setting this up for him I said I want to keep a dozen for myself. He was more than happy to give me my finders fee lol.
I figured Chris wanted to give his mom the white and pink ones...and his girly the red colored roses. I'm treating myself to a dozen peach colored roses.
Sweeeeet. Roses for me.

It's really strange having two ex's on here. They always pop up in my last ten within hours of each other too. It's all sorts of weird to me. I'm still friends with the one that I almost married years and years ago. We'll probably always be good friends.
The other one broke my heart and for a time...broke my very spirit. Damaged me a lot.
After almost a year and a half...
He just needs to leave me the fuck alone already. Coming by my profile and leaving me overly sappy rates that go on and on about how amazing I am doesn't make me smile or feel good. It just pisses me the fuck off.
I don't care about anything he has to say or even what he's thinking. I don't want to read in a rate (or any other way) about how great I am or about how he's kicking himself in the ass over not having me anymore.
I look back now and smile about the fact that him and I are no more. It was the greatest thing that ever happened to me...
Because i'm so very lucky and so very blessed to have who I have now.
I'm happier than I've ever been. ;)

I'm ready to lose it with the landlord of this house. The bad news just keeps on coming with this idiot. Calls himself a business man and he's the opposite of one. Cramps us in this house like fucking sardines because he's always so hard up for cash at any given time so he can't just have one person per room. When is enough enough? It's a five bedroom house with seven roommates. He stuck a man and his 14yr old son in my old death trap of a room...and they're moving out in a week.
So what's the problem now...?
The fact that he's planning on moving in a couple with a small child into it right after the other one's move out in a week (and he still hasn't fixed that damn roof). That makes EIGHT roommates in a house of this size. As I write this, he's taking care of his busniness on the phone with the electric company. Trying to extend the bill because he waited until today to let us all know that we may have that shut off.
HELL NO! Fuck this shit. I pay my rent on time and I pay my portion of the utilities on time! I don't wanna hear anymore excuses about anything! I've had it! I'm not playing nice with this jackass anymore and so help me god, if so much as one light goes out by the end of this evening...he's not gonna see a single penny out of me. I've been too damn nice to this man. Stupidity should not be rewarded.
Topped things off by setting his shit down right behind me when I wasn't looking...tripped over something that caught me right at the ankle. It's throbbing now. All swollen and purple. Hurts like hell. I'm so angry. So frustrated.
I'm just gonna log off, hide some place and cry my ass off.

Now that I have this card done...I am finally finished with the major arcana.
It took me a full year to do it too. It was this time last year that I began. I still can't believe that in a year, I completed 22 cards. It may not seem like a lot, but it is. I can't even imagine how long it's going to take me to finish the minor arcana (56 cards)! This is the biggest project I have ever done. It's been interesting though.
When I first began, I had no idea how hard some of these cards were going to be. Making this deck dark and modern is such a challenge too. I saved this card for last...for a big reason. I completed the tower card last year but the more and more I looked at it the first version didn't seem right to me so I did it over again. So, here it is. The final version. The final card of the major arcana.
